Shire projects has a strong health and safety culture from top to bottom, Ensuring all our operatives are trained in the correct areas relative to their field and hold the correct CSCS card requirements , As a minimum we ensure 100% of our employees are trained in the following areas. First aid at work, manual handling, steps and ladder trained, IPAF, PASMA, face fit tested, fire Marshall training, and abrasive wheels.
We carry out regular work-based assessments and safety audits to ensure all who represent shire projects are on point and up to date with are safety practices and procedures.
Our audits are carried out by external health and safety professionals , we choose to use external sources to carry out our site safety audits so we get a true unbiased report , we strive for constant improvements on our sites and we feel external audits are a key factor to achieve this.
Shire projects is “Safe contractor” accredited and boasts a high level of insurance our criteria and quality control procedures keep us in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

Our Mental Health & Wellbeing
Here at shire projects we take mental health very seriously , our mental health coach and advisor is always contactable , we regularly hold one on one sessions and group sessions as a team to take time out to discuss the cause and effects of mental health and how we can assist going forward.
We have had a lot of good feedback from our employees regarding our efforts with mental health and are currently working on more programmes and workshops for the future.
